On the morning of January 3, 2020, the final round of Luong Van Can Talent Award 2019 was organized by Saigon Entrepreneur Newspaper. This is one of the first awards to encourage entrepreneurship among students. Launched in 2011, in the past 8 years, the award has the participation of more than 20,000 students across the country with nearly 180 contestants won, more than 2.3 billion in prize money.
This year’s contest, titled “Agricultural value chains and agro-food processing industry,” young people launched bold, creative projects and attracted many investors. After nearly 8 months of competition from students from domestic and foreign universities, the Organizing Committee has selected 5 best projects from the University of Agriculture and Forestry. The final result, the First Prize belongs to the project “Medicinal materials 4.0 (Growing ginseng by aeroponics method on an industrial scale) of two contestants Nguyen Huu Tuan and Hoang Diem Hang from University of Agriculture and Forestry The second prize is the “Smart FOW Trash” project of Huynh Tan Long and Nguyen Bao Chau from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Organic mushrooms from scrap mushrooms “by contestants Huynh Van Si, Pham Tuan Anh and Truong Diem Linh from Thu Dau Mot University won the third prize.
The final and awarding ceremony of the “Luong Van Can Talent Award 2019” was held with a jury member with high professional knowledge, experience and many years of accompanying the Award. As the Vice Chairman of the Board of Examiners of the competition, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan – Chairman of BrainGroup has made comments, reviews and suggestions to help the projects have a more practical direction.
This is the 6th year that the representative of BrainGroup’s management board participates in the Organizing Committee for Talent Award Luong Van Can. At the same time, BrainGroup also sponsors scholarships for winning students for many years.
